dealing with the relationship with the 13 colonies and England in the colonial times?

It could be a split panel. On one side the 13 colonies are fighting with one another. England shows up with the numerous taxation acts.

make a joke about the english being so far away... how could you deal with having to do that (travel across the atlantic) and keep a country together.

perhaps a guy paddling a little tiny boat across the atlantic to get a message to europe...
