Lack of logic, lack of common sense, a deep devotion to socialism/communism, fell hard for the propaganda, too young to have a brain, still a pacifist from the 60's.
I mean really there are a lot of reasons but you have to consider the immensity of the radical left-wing propaganda machine, I mean they have the repubs beat hands down, had the whole market until talk radio came along and the Fox News. It is interesting to note that Fox News has wiped out CNN, MSNBC and any other cable news and they are fast closing on the network news. Now I do not think that everyone in America is conservative so there has to be another reason for this media shakeout and I think it is one or a combination of two things, first Fox does not push a bias and people just like that better, Americans do not tolerate socialism in its extremes and the media has gone so far left that Fox who is in the middle looks right to those on the left.
Keep your eyes out on the radical left-wing extremists, they are looking to take control of the country at any cost. They will do anything, ANYTHING, and they are decidely dangerous to your freedom.
There are also a lot of people who think they should vote for the person, which is really a crock. You vote for the person and they get elected and then go against what you want so they can stay in with the party. Anyone who thinks the person will stand up against the party, well just ask lieberman how well that works. No, if you are going to vote, vote for the party that best represents your most important philosophy because when push comes to shove the person who you thought so highly of will dump you in a heart beat and side with the party.

Being softiess? Was FDR a softie when he helped us win WW2? Do your homework before you ask another stupid question. The Bush administration stated this war. The Clinton administration and most normal people would have seen that there is no reason for a war such as this and would have never started it.

I see your point, Samuel, but the thing you must understand is that...party doesn't matter.
Oh sure, you've got the Republicans on one side talking about how bad the Democrats are, and then on the other side the Democrats are always talking about how bad the Republicans are.
Meanwhile, NOTHING is getting done. Why? Because Democrats and Republicans hate each other.
The Republicans have given us some AMAZING presidents.
So have the Democrats.
Now, I myself would vote for a Democrat IF I believed they had our nation's best interests at heart, and if I agreed with at least some of their platform.
There are liberal Republicans, and conservative Democrats, so who really cares?
Both Republicans and Democrats have good ideas. We need them both.
That's why I would support a Republican president, but I prefer Congress or the Senate to have a Democratic majority.
A one-party system is NOT going to serve our country's best interests.
So stop being so divisive.

I would answer your question with a question? Why do we want to create a democracy in Iraq like ours? Ours appears to have failed. Democracies were supposed to respect differences of opinions, but obviously you don't want that. If a person does not share your view of wars, they are automatically labeled cowards. Apparently you believe America would be a better country if there were no Democrats and therefore no "cowards". If that were the case, what would distinguish the America you want from the Iraq under Saddam which you went to war against?

Well, here's a question I'll never get best answer to, but here goes anyway.
Conservative thinking is too straight line and focused. Conservative thinking bodes very well in areas where single minded control achieves the goal. Areas like business, the economy, and the military are the conservatives forte.
When a problems involves a solution that must take in a variety perspectives only liberal minded thinking will resolve it. International policy, education, and social issues are the liberals forte.
If you look at America as a team rather than two different sides, you want the members on the team to fill the positions in which they excell.

Because many of us often see the Democratic candidates as the lesser of two weasels, somewhat better at "Live and Let Live" for all Americans, not just the wealthy few.
We'll start getting real choice when we use Instant-Runoff Voting or another system that gives minor parties a real voice, without worrying that votes for unpopular candidates are wasted. Such systems let people rank candidates in their order of preference.

I'd consider voting for a strong national security democrat, like Kennedy, Truman or FDR. Frankly, I don't see any on the horizon for 2008.
Well, maybe Leiberman would have the guts to stand up to our enemies like the 3 I mentioned, and we all know how well Leiberman has faired among his own kind.
This really is the Achille's heel of the Democrat party. Until they put up a candidate who is believably serious as strong on National Security, they won't win the Presidency again.

Well I'd guess people who don't like being in the middle of two wars would vote Democrat. I'm guessing there's someone out there that don't want to see our young men being killed by roadside bombs in the invasion of a country that has never done more than mouth off to us. There's probably also some people who are tired of being lied to about torture and WMDs and Child Molestation. They don't care if their Government is horrible, they just don't want it to treat them like they're not mature enough to handle the truth. Then there are people who are afraid of what's going to happen if Democrats continue on their course. They're afraid of a world with ever escalating oil prices and corperate proffiteering and scandall. They're afraid where we have no friends outside of our borders, where our cities are destroyed by hurricanes and the world turns it's back on us.
People who want a change will vote Democrat.

George W. Bush is the biggest yellow-bellied, chicken-sh*t coward around. He made sure he didn't see any combat in Viet Nam, along with cheney and Rumsfeld. Why would any red blooded American call them leaders? Also you notice no one in any of their families are in the military. It's always good to spill someone elses blood. The real question is why would any intelligent American vote for a republican? The other question should be why ae over 90% of Iraqi and Afghanistan war veterans running for political office as Democrats rather than Republicans. Mayber they know something. Who are the real cowards? The Republican maybe?
