Is this condition to do with the atmospheric pressure changing?
Is there anything I can do to prevent this as I live in a semi tropical area.

yeah its like some ppl get migranes when there is a change in the pressure. so that covers your neck pain, im assuming that it would relate to the neck pain too. and by the way go see ur dr. and if u get diagnosed w/ having like migranes often, they'll give u some real pain med's to relieve the pain FAST! good luck

You could have a form of arthritis in your neck. Ask your family doctor to make an appointment for x-rays from the neck up.
Good luck.

Pressure in the sinus cavities. Chew gum and pop your ears gently when you feel a headache coming on. It sounds definitely barometric pressure-related.

Probably sinuses. Try an antihistamine. Allegra without DM is good. Some over the counter meds. are good but be careful. It might make you sleepy.

I have the same problem. My doctor says its pressure in my sinus cavities. I use Sudafed (the real stuff, not the new PE stuff). And then just Tylenol.
