I'm still trying to get over the way Walkers changed Cheese and Onion crisps to a blue packet and salt and vinegar to a green packet......what was that all about?!

The British and crisps is still a bit of an obsession....but I think more with kids [despite the efforts of Jamie Oliver] and adults if they are drinking in a pub...!

Thank your lucky stars I say and your girlfriend will as well when she's read this.

Apart from the potential to turn you into a fat knacker ( I love that turn of phrase, but as one gets older, there is so little opportunity to use it, ho hum), a standard bag of crisps will make you fart like a trooper. So thank your lucky washing machine that you can't find a larger bag!

Cos they are full of fat, and unless you eat the whole pack they go stale really quickly. I always end up throwing three quarters of crisps away when im in france, cos they dont do small bags.

Because people generally enjoyn eating one portion of crisps rather than gorging on a 4 portion bag.

More profit for the manufacturers in the smaller bags than the larger ones.

Well dear, I think that you can find packets of crisps in England that are more than large enough - unless you have a big gob!
