I've heard that the average life expectancy of a new motorcyclist in the U.S. is only 90 days. I'm trying to find out if this is fact or fiction. I've tried several search engines but can't find anything.

Think about it.
How do you become an experienced motorcyclist if your life expectancy is 90 days.
Of course it is fiction

That is definitely fiction.

Unhappy cowardly people always come up with rediculous factoids to say about things they are too afraid to explore themselves. It's their way of rationalizing their fear, so they don't have to deal with it. At the same time, it is taking a dig at those of whom they are envious.

These are the people that like to ban things for others. Motorcycles, bikinis, you name it, anything. Thank goodness we live in America, and most of the time we just have to hear these people gripe. The other fraction of the time we have to dodge these same mindless people drifting lane to lane or purposely trying to run us down because we are "so dangerous on the road."

With some training, caution, protective gear, and the right bike, you could ride your entire lifetime off road or even on road and never get seriously hurt.

That's an old story, came out about the same time as the 1969 kaw Mach lll 500, might have had some truth back then since they had drum brakes :(

If I had to guess the average life expectancy of a new motorcylist I would say the mid 70s.
