The best way to make sure any website is virus free is to keep your anti-virus protection running in the background at all times. If something isn't safe, your virus protection should prohibit the action of the site until you either approve or disapprove continuing with the download of the page.

I strongly encourage you not to depend on websites for security or virus protection. There are many products available for this purpose with some excellent products available for free personal use.
Zonelabs has an excellent firewall product called Zone Alarm that is free for personal use.
Avg has an excellent virus product.
And Spybot does a very good on skyware.
Many others can be found on www.zdnet.com.
