This question has no hidden motive it simply asking if you are here merely for the points?

Probably, but what would be the (ahem) point of doing that? Sounds like a pointless and time-consuming game to me.
One user tried an experiment (Don't remember the name, but he uses Nietzsche's face as an avatar), where he would agree with the asker on all those questions where the asker gave hints of their opinion, and found he could get 20 percent best answer that way.

I'm sorry I did not understand the question, but I think we are here not to gain points or showing that we know everything, I think this site is a very informative place to understand the movements of thoughts and to learn about how our mind function.

In some, perhaps many, cases - yes. The questions asked often reveal something about the personality of the questioner, so you could make an educated guess regarding what he/she might pick as a "best answer."
The same holds true - except probably even more so -
regarding his/her 360 page.

I've wondered what the points are for. You can't use them to buy things so what are they for? When I figure out what they're for then I'll know why I want them. In the meantime, I'm just having fun!

You will only know what it is that the person wants you to know and then it will be only skin deep. (I'm afraid I don't understand the "gain points" reference.)
