I think you should visit your doctor just to be on the safe side

Many women experience some bleeding in pregnancy, approximately 75% of them go on to have a healthy baby.

I had several heavy bleeds in the first half of my pregnancy, was in hospital every week getting scans, & at the end my son was born completely fine. A friend of mine has 7 children and bled during all of her pregnancies.

Symptoms that are more worrying include pains/cramping & the passage of large clots & tissue, but painless bleeding doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. Take things easy, & seek medical advice if the bleeding worsens or if you develop pains or fever.

It can be a worrying time but I wish you the best of luck for your pregnancy. x

depends on lots of things: how hard you're bleeding, do u have pains, etc. The best is to consult with your doctor, at least first over the phone. Usually it's not a problem, happens pretty often. I spotted around this time too. Everything went fine after. But you definitely should go to the doctor immediately if you have Rh -negative.

Hi there! Have you been to your doctor about it? I've found out my placenta is way down over cervix, its a condition called Placenta Praevia, go to the doctor or midwife and get a scan coz they will be able to tell you right away if your Placenta is low. Bleeding is a symptom of this. Don't worry though its not all bad news, my auntie had bleeding twice (her baby was a ivf, the last one at that!), they found out she had Placenta Praevia and now shes got a beautiful 6mth old girl. So just take it easy and please call your doctor for a scan, Placenta Praevia doen't have to be a bad thing but you gotta be careful and aware. Good luck - please go get a scan! But bleeding can happen sometimes anyway and they call it spotting. SCAN SCAN SCAN!!! hehe

Have you seen your doctor or midwife about this?

Some women continue to have menstrual bleeds throughout their pregnancy and the babies are fine. Its called breakthrough bleeding and caused by the hormone levels just being a bit out of whack. It might be that this is what is happening to you.

But you do need to see your doctor. They might want to perform an ultrasound to check that the baby is ok and there are no problems.

True miscarriages are usually accompanied by very heavy bleeding and severe pain. Slight bleednig or spotting doens't necessarily signal a miscarraige. But you do need to get it check out with your doctor and follow their advice.

why did you bleed? did you just bleed without injury or bump? i bled a couple of times early in the pregnancy and had quite a few scans over those weeks. i was very nervous but learned that it was better to be relaxed for the babies sake. if bleeding did start again then i would deal with it then. i assume that you have seen your gp/midwife about the previous bleeding and have been scanned. if you are still nervous i really do recommend having a chat to gp/midwife about your concerns. they will be able to give you current statistics and methods to deal with bleeding etc. i wish you all the best with the rest of your pregnancy

dont worry too much as this will cause stress which is worse for you. sometimes you do bleed during pregnancy especially at the time you would have normally had a period. to be on the safe side you need to inform the midwife or doctor and get as much rest as you can.

its better to be safe than sorry and make an appointment with your gp asap

The more you worry the more stress you will put on the baby.

Just talk to your doctor and to god because everything happens for a reason and he'll help you through it all.

Good luck.

you need to speak to your doctor about this,as a bleed can mean something such as miscarraige or it can also mean nothing but either way you need to speak to your dr about this and have a check up ,have u got a midwife who can offer you advice and reassurance ,when r u due for your scan, you can try and get the date brought forward if you r concerned...hope all goes well for you...
