I, as a Stewart diehard, know that Tony will just race hard. Period. Tony is an aggressive driver at all times, and that is why he has done so well in the past. He, like any other driver that is in the chase or not, wants to win races and have strong finishes. Tony's anger hasn't anything to do with his racing anymore. He has controlled himself immensely in the past few years, and he is able to keep anger and racing separate. He has really matured and become a better racer in the last few years. Don't you worry about Tony...he is and always will be the best guy out there. Go #20!

Whether or not you want to believe it Tony has matured so much over the years. Tony is still an aggressive driver it's just that he's making sure not to wreck anyone and cause problems for the drivers who are in the Chase as he does not want for something of that nature to happen to him.

Even if he isn't in the Chase this year Tony will always be a threat for the wins. Unlike some he doesn't have to wreck others on the last lap to get the win!

Deep down Tony is really a teddy bear you just want to hug.

Stewart has changed a lot over the last 4 years, i think if he hadn't made the chase the first year it would have been a different story, he probably would have been doing things like what Vicker's did in Talledega every race. but over the past few years he has really matured and he is aware that there are people racing for more than just the win and i think he has and will continue to take note of that.

However, with that said a race is a race and i dont think any race car driver sits back and watches especially a past champion. Stewart is a good racer and will likely continue to finish well and race everything that his car has, if that shows up as aggression sometimes well then yeah he will race aggressively just like every other racer does, but he has way more talent than people like vickers and so i dont think you will see him making stupid mistakes and he has class so i dont think you will see him wrecking people intentionally

Tony Stewart is a hard-core racer, he has always raced to win. He's toned it down as far as things like punching photographers and inviting other drivers into his hauler to 'settle' things..and Smoke can still earn the $1 million for eleventh place.

Next season...he WILL be back..in the Chase.

You're talking about a guy that has racing in his blood and one that hates to lose. He has never not driven aggressively and his fans would not want it any other way. Like someone already mentioned, he still is trying to remain in 11th place for the one million dollar bonus.

Also, he is trying to win the bonus for winning the IROC championship as well.
