Here's my situation.. I started Ortho-Tri Cyclene Lo November 2003 and took it to help regulate my periods. I stopped taking it May 28, 2006 and had a regular period July 5, 2006, but have not had one since then, or any menstrual symptoms. My husband and I have been having sex (no protection). I've taken 2 home preg tests, and both were negative. I have been experiencing some crazy mood swings, and sometimes slight cramping, but nothing else. If I don't have a period within this month (October), then I'll go to the doctor's office and have them run a blood test. If anyone has any advice/comments/ or been in a similar situation, please tell me about it. My husband and I would be thrilled if I'm pregnant, but if not, then that's ok too. Please help!!

You should go to the Dr. even if you don't get a period. Not all pregnancies show up by taking a test, sometimes you need to have a blood test

I don't know much about the pill but I can relate to the missed periods. My doctor put me on Metformin to regulate my cycles (28 days like clockwork). My last period was 8/25. I had what we thought to be implantation bleeding on 9/16 but now we're not sure what it was. My next period was due 9/22, nothing, slight cramps and mood swings. I took a blood and urine test on 9/28 both negative. I cried like normal and then relaxed assuming the tests were right. Lo and behold Aunt Flo reared her ugly head 17 days late!! We are chalking it up to the stress of wanting a child so badly. Not giving up though, I'm 39 years young and will try til God tells me it definitely won't happen. Hope this helped a little and Good Luck to you and all TTC'ers. BABY DUST TO ALL

I took 6 pregnancy tests tyo find out If I was pregnant with my son. 2 were negative. Sometimes if you don't use your first mornings urine to test if can show up negative. Your best bet is to go to the doctor and get a test done. Pregnancy tests are accurate but human error while taking them is very common. Good luck!!

I was on birth control pills for six months, the pills i was on caused me to only have a period every 3 months...i started have simptoms of pregnacy even though i was still on the pills...i stoped taking them and stoped having sex, for 2 months i took a pregnacy test every other day and they were all negitive. I figured it was just in my head. about 3 weeks later i took another test just to be on the sure side... and low and behold it was positive. My point being, you can't always trust those home test so go to the doctor...tell him the problems and he will figure it out.

After being on birth control for as long as you where on it it will probably take a while for your body to get back to normal. I would actually go and get the blood test done now. It will ease yourself and you will know.

Missing your period can also be caused by low weight... are you very petite?
