I love my cell phone and I wuld never give it up but I was just wondering how old u were when u got a cell or how old u are now if u dont have one!!

I got my very first cell when I was 7 but then I got another at 11.

An 11 year old really doesn't have a major use for a cell phone...Most 11 year olds I know aren't out of the supervision of adults in places where the use of a cell phone is imperative. If an 11 year old needs to call someone, they can usually do that at their own house...I don't see the purpose.

I was about 13 when I got one. I didn't actually use it until I was about 15. I mean honestly do you need a cell phone at 11? I was hardly allowed to go anywhere by myself until i was like 14 except for like friends houses and maybe the movies. I babysit for a kid who has a cell phone and she is 8. The only reason she needs one is to brag about the fact that she has one to all of her friends.

I think your spoiled I'm 14 and I can't get a cell phone intill i'm 16 your lucky and anyways y in the world would a 11 year old need a cell phone your still a kid u might as well act like one.

11!?!??!?! Too goddamn young! Kids these days are spoiled and snobby. What the hell ever happened to working and earning it on your own???? Thank god I have no kids and I am 31 years old and loving that I have no kids! If I had an 11 year old who asked for a cell phone the Latina in me would come out and say "HELL NO! Now go play with your barbie dolls"

Only to be used in an actual emergency. After all these school shootings even I would give them to children as young as 9 just so they could call 911 if there was a real emergency to use it for.
I was 29. I no longer have it.

I was 13 when I first got my mobile phone (I'm from England, to me "cell" sounds weird!). I think 11 is ok to have a mobile, my little sis was 8 when she had her first one, i think maybe that is a bit too young, or maybe its belated jealousy!?
