it really depends on your bone structure and muscle mass

assuming you are not a bodybuilder measure your wrist circumference to give you an idea of your bone structure

if it is less than 6.5 inches - you are light bones and should weight around 150-165 lbs

if it is btwn 6.5 and 7.5 you are medium boned and a weight range of 160-175 would be more appropriate

if over 7.5 inches you are heavy boned so between 165 and 180 lbs is fine

if you are carrying more than average muscle another 10-15 lbs would be allowable on each of these ranges

better yet get your lean mass and bodyfat calculated through skinfold measurement

while many men your age might be around 22-28% bodyfat a healthy status is to try and stay less than 20% bodyfat
