I think insane people are not aware that they are insane,'cause the moment they really see that they are insane, they are already sane. Sanity is a big question. We keep on doing what we like because we are thrilled by its sensations, psychologically, physically or emotionally. But our mind usually cannot see the broad implications of what we are doing, it could be beneficial to some and destructive to many. This is our great misfortune not being wholly. I can say that If I really don't understand what I do, then I must be insane and I kept on dreaming about the sane world. I think we have to fine out if we are insane now.It is the real call of sanity.

Sanity is like time, both structured and invented by humans. If you are referring to society's definition of sanity, you have an interesting concept. Yet many imaginative people are called insane because they have dreamt about a sane world, and the gifted ones have seen their dreams come to fruition, like the Wright brothers who dreamt about flying across the oceans.

i think there is no such thing as "sanity" and that in todays society if you are seen as "insane" you are automatically unfit for society therefore you must be "corrected". and what happens to people in institutions? their minds are chemically altered. what are we being kept from? realizing that everyone is "insane"? the so called insane dont want to be coherent to the world that we live in. so the answer to your question is: yes, because you would have to be insane to think everyone else wishes to think and rationalize like you and similar others.

The definition of sanity isn't even clinical, rather, it's legal.I would say that sanity outside of someone being a danger to themselves or others is relative.
