My feet swell almost everytime I wear open toe heels. Why do they do this?

Because they were created by men. They were not made for wearing like we do. They were made for temporary adornment of the feet. You know like the frilly catch me, catch me heels you wear with lingerie or "f"me heels you wear with a trench coat and nothing else!
