Try 4head. It's a rub on cream in a stick - costs about £5.95. Doesn't clear head completely but does give some relief and is not taken internally - bonus.

I see a lot of helpful answers. I've suffered with migraines for years. Take a good quality multivitamin and also take an additional magnesium supplement. Feverfew {herbal remedy} has been proven to help reduce the number and severity of migraines. You may have food triggers. I can't have grapefruit, cheddar cheese, aspartame, or alcohol. Try to discover and eliminate your trigger foods. I do have prescription Imitrex that I can take when I get a migraine at work. My job is such that I can't go home sick. So I have to work through the migraine for up to 12 hours. Would you be able to try Imitrex? It does help.
Are you on the pill? Some doctors prescribe the pill to help ease hormone fluctuations and thus reduce migraines, but the pill made me worse. Had to quit that.
I hope you find something that helps.

Have you found what is causing the migraines? Some people just get them, for some it's sinus related, and I've even run across people who get them from food allergies. Of course that's the best way to cut them out.
There are also several scripts available to treat them if the natural stuff doesn't help. Imitrex (which can actually raise your blood pressure and make them worse for some people), Relpax, Maxalt, and Zomig are the ones I know of.

I agree with the 4head suggestion, really good stuff especially if you can start using it at the earliest sign of migraine.
Alkso a total relaxation tape/cd whatever, anything that can help take you out of yourself.Don't know about you but my migraines are always worse when I panic about it and tense up even more.

I've had awful cluster migraines since I was 4 years old. I've found that I have them worse if I eat anything with Canola oil (AKA rape seed oil) and/or MSG. Keep a diary of the foods you eat and the migraines you have. You may find that one particular food triggers them.
I've heard that some people get relief by taking Feverfew. You get it at the health store.

i'm on a prescription med for migraines. mine get real bad. but if you want to try a natural med, i would try feverfew. you can get it at a health food store. i've heard it works good for the people it does work for (for some people it doesn't do anything). you can also look it up on the internet before you go and buy.there are a lot of positive things written about it. good luck

I get pretty severe migraines, the Dr prescribed Relpax but it only made them worse.
I know it might sound dumb, but I tried smoking cannibus and with the second drag my headache was gone!! That has been the only think that has helped me.
But a friend of mine has a nephew that worked in a pharmacy and he told her to drink an asprin with a Coca-Cola....the whole can and that helps her and a few of our friends, maybe it'll help you.
Good Luck!!

Do not consume any product that contains the artificial sweetner "aspertame"...this triggers migraines. If yours continue, get your MD to prescibe something. Also, try to find a "naturopath" in your area. This is a doctor that does alternative healing. I have one and he can massage trigger points to relieve mine. Interesting enough, the same nerve that causes most headaches, travels around the shoulder blade and down the arm and is the one damaged by carpal tunnel syndrome...
