I'm reading a book called Leonardo's Swan's by Karen Essex which is a really interesting historical novel. I was dubious because I'd never heard of the House of Este, or the author but it's turned out to be unputdownable - the action is well-paced and the characters are really well-developed. The rivalry between the sisters Beatrice and Isabella is well-written, and really quite realistic.
I like to browse in the local library when I get stuck, and just try out books and authors I've never heard of.

I've just finished reading a book called 'Burton on Burton' which is a book comprimised of interviews with the director (and in my eyes, god!) Tim Burton who has created some great films such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' 'Edward Scissorhands' and sooooo many more. I found the book very interesting, you learn of how all these films were created, marketed, cast and how Tim Burton felt and invisioned these worlds in his films....the book also gives you information on Tim Burton's life growing up and it's affect on his film making, it also tells of his first jobs and how he has built up a reputation and kept creating some brilliant films.....it is a brilliant book, with a foreword by his close friend and co-worker on most of his films, Johnny Depp, and I would reccommend it to both fans and people who are new to his genius...

If you like true historic novels try, Patrick O'Brein's Aubry and Maturin series it is about 20 books in all but seriously worth it, otherwise if you like fantasy books more I can recommend Katharine Kerr or David Eddings. If it is biographies you are after Peter Kay Has brought out a book recently and is hilarious, try it, excellent way to start your day.

I would recommend:-
Th little Prisoner cant rember the author sorry.
Dave Pelzer - A child called it and the lost boy he has a few more but not sure of the names.
There is also a new book out called 'Daddy please no' or 'no daddy please' all of these books are brilliant, they are all true stories about abusive childhoods i love books like this but i cry whenever i read anything like this, plus they are all books that you dont want to put down. They are really sad and heart warming you shouldnt have a dry eye if you read them.

I'm currently reading Piers Morgan's 'The Insider', but have recently finished 'Thinks' by David Lodge - pretty good. Good authors are Barbara Vine, Marian Keyes, Clare Chambers and Lisa Jewell.

Life of Pi by Yann Martel is the best book I've read in a while. It is a lost at sea novel. Super freaking good! give it a try!
