Tony LaRussa, look at the career numbers, and the fact that this is his third NLCS in a row, not to mention 5th in 7 years. Look at the team the Cards have this year, not all that great, but still in it.

Joe Girardi...He was handed a ball club with a pay role that's about the same as San Diego Padres relief pitcher Chan Ho Park's. and the Padres are considered a low spending team.(i think they should have left Chan Ho in TX and picked up the whole entire Marlins team instead)
Joe Girardi kept the little Fish that Could in playoff contention until the end. there record was almost as good as the Cardinals. This team had a bunch of kids in there early twenties.
Then the marlins fired him...Wow the the Cubs will have a good manager next yr.

No brainer. Jim Leyland. So they didn't win the division! He brought the Tigers back and look what they did AFTER that. He is a great leader! Plus he kissed a fan through the netting after the last game against the Yankees. Who does that unless they have confidence and are a good leader?
GO TIGERS!

I guess I'd have to say Jim Leyland as well. Even if the Tigers go down to the A's, which I hope doesn't happen, you have to give it up to how dominating they've been this year.
I'd give second place to Joe Girardi. And I'm really hoping he comes back to Chicago to lead the Cubs next year. We need him...badly.
Go Cubs.

I think we will find once again that it's Jim Leyland. He did it with the Pirates and Marlins, and he'll do it again with the Tigers.
