Unfortunetly No. The bears are good enough to probably win all 16 games, but there is no need to do it. Once home field is established for the play offs. There isn't the need to play your starters as much, nor the need to really win the games.
Same thing happend to the Colts last year.
There just isn't a need to win that many games.

No, I think maybe 13- 3. I hate to burst your bubble being I am from Chicago but, they are not going to the Super Bowl either. For the reasons listed below:
1. They play mostly paper weight teams in the season, hell if you give someone a schedule like theirs I would dare say a team like Rams look like Super Bowl contenders
2. Look at who they've played, 2 weak divisional teams, 1 mediocre divisional team, a one dimensional Seahawk team
(which if you know anything about football, a good running back has many uses. He can draw up the safety and or free safety to create one on one with wide recievers. Plus can create a chance to pound on the defensive blitz that were thrown at Hasselback by using a counter, draw play, or play action. If you doubt what I say ask a Coach Gibbs,Reid,or Parcells and they will say the same thing. So don't tell me that Shaun Alexanders absence don't make a differnce because every coach knows that isn't true). But thanks for beating the Seahawks any way I love to see them get their whoopins. A very young and struggling Buffalo; so who did they actually play?
3. They have the second weakest schedule in the NFL, come playoff time, that tends to hurt, more than help. A good example:
Indianapolis usually has a weak schedule too, therefore when playoff time comes knocked out in the first playoff game they play!
4. What will Bears do when they face a real defense, say like the Giants or Patriots, the two hardest defenses they play all year. Away from home, will Rex Grossman get hurt, oh yes he will. Strahan and the Giants D will suffocate them real early. The Pats will just crush them to oblivion. By the way, if Grossman gets rattled which he hasn't had the chance all year he makes mistakes and when he makes those mistake, he's going to get sacked, when he gets sacked a turf toe will keep out for the rest of the season!!!!!
5. Lets say they get to the playoffs, or even to the NFC championship. Who do you think they will play? A Green Bay, a Detroit, or even the best team they've played yet Minnasota. No. A NFC East team that plays bloodbath football. Probably Philadelphia (and that kills me to say because I am a Redskins fan but, it's pretty obvious who the best team in the NFC is and it is Philly.
So there are my 5 reasons why the Bears will not go 16-0 or go to the Super Bowl either. Sorry Chicago as much as I love ya but better luck next year.

I wish, but probably not. Having been a Bears fan all my life, and knowing the way Lovie Smith coaches, he will probably bench the starters late in the season once they have home field. Also, if Grossman goes down with an injury(which he has been known to do), Griese is a reliable backup, but not as potent as Grossman, which would put more stress on the Bears D. This is by far the best team in the NFL, and although 16-0 looks possible, I would settle for 14-2, home field, and Super Bowl champs.

Look at all these doubters...as a Bears fan, I'm more confident in a Superbowl win than a 16-0 season. In fact, going undefeated isnt really a concern of ours. We'd rather lose 1-2 in the regular season than take a dump in the playoffs. Have faith people...The Bears in '06-07

It is very hard to play well enough to win every game in an NFL season. Injuries, bad performances, and of course the opponent have stopped a team form being undefeated for the last 34 years. Let's keep in mind that the Bears have an excellent defense but an unproven QB, and time will tell how he fares against certain veteran teams with great coaches *cough cough New England.....

is this a extreme question? The Bears went 7-9 final year. Urlacher is lower back and that they have got Peppers. The huge outs and Cutler have a year mutually under their belts and the recent Martz offense will help out. Cutler will unfold the ball around lots extra suitable than final year. confident he will throw on the brink of 20 ints lower back yet over 30 tds isnt out of the question. I see 9-7 this year for Chicago.

its possible, the way we killed the seahawks should be an indicator of how well they play against good teams. Giants, Patriots are the only ones that worry me. and if they do clinch the playoffs, don't expect them to go soft for the end of the season, it didn't work for the colts, and the Bears and Chicago have too much pride. WE WANT IT ALL! lets make history!

If you think they will go 16-0 good but I don't think so sorry for the letdown. But they should secure a playoff spot if not Homefield advantage eventually they beat the reigning NFC powerhouse Seattle but they haven't played Philadelphia yet which I think is gonna win the NFC this year with McNabb. But I do think the Bears will go far but not 16-0 who know maybe they will win the big one but we will see who knows?

They have a shot! I say in the end, No, they won't do it! They will go 14-2 this year. They'll Lose at New England, and will Lose one more. The other loss will come at either, towards the end of the year, as they rest the Starters for Playoffs, or at the N.Y Jets!
Final answer is No. 14-2 Is the Record they'll end with.
