You should probably replace your motor.but before that double check all the connections inside of the console. could be that a wire just got jarred while it was in shipping.

Get rid of it, that series of PS2 was the worst console sony made to date.

i would suggest returning it back to the store and tell them u want to exchange ur ps2 for a new one and dont even tell them thats its broken or else they wont accept it......and if u cant exchange it then open up ur console and see what parts wont move......i hope this helps.

we had the same problem we unskrewed the back (if you do this sony will never fix it) and used a air blower and skrewed it back now it works
