It came out in the early 80's, and was like a horror movie, and it had something to do with mercury poisoning. I remember an old man who had cigarette burns on his fingers because he couldn't feel the cigarette burning him, and something about a factory dumping stuff in the stream, or river, and a bear gone wild or something like that.
I would like to see if it's on dvd, but just can't remember the title. Thanks!

"Prophecy"
The mutant bear walking across the borttom of the lake was a bit much but the rest of the movie was great!
Note: It's "prophecy" and not "THE Prophecy" THE prophecy starred Chris Walken and was about rogue angels.
