I'm a little nervous about getting pregnant while on the pill. I know mine are pretty strong, but I'm terrible at taking them properly. Does anyone know about the shot or the patch and if they're easier to live with?

I would say if the pill you are taking it correct for your body type and you take the pill regularly (on time) then you are pretty safe. However, if you don't take it regularly then you are probably better off switching to the patch or something else like the NuvaRing.
I have heard that the patch is easy but if you decide to go with the patch make sure you are fully aware of all the side effects associated with it. I would recommend talking to your doctor and getting his/her advice.

I think that there is a 1 out of 100 chance of getting pregnant on the pill, much higher if not used properly. I recommend nuvaring, it is simple and you cant forget it! No cramps, no daily pills, no shots.

I'm on the pill, i have been for two years and i haven't gotten pregnant yet. chances are 98-99%, much less if you dont take them when you should, which is probably why that girl who left the first comment got pregnant all the time.

i have no idea what your chances are..ive tried looking tha tup online but it doesnt come out too good lol i wouldnt recommend the shot to anyone else you dont want to get pregnant for a couple of years...because it messes up yoru system really bad...the patch on the other hand is supposed to be fairly good id try that one if i was yo u

pills are about 99 to 98% effective so your chances are 1-2%.

Don't take the shot...it really messed me up. I only had two doses of the shot, yet even after I stopped taking it, it took nine months for my period to return. It also caused some other problems--extreme fatigue, lack of sex drive, and weight gain.
