Wear what feels good and looks good. Don't wear tight clothes but also you don't have to wear anything that looks like a tent either. You want to wear a fabric that wicks away sweat and odor because when you are larger sometimes people do the oh you must smell thing even if you don't and so you won't have to worry about that if your fabric is airy. Also don't let other people be the judge of what you should wear. You know what looks horrible and what does not.

Well hun i dont know where you are from but you have to wear what makes you comfortable......for starters you need to wear clothes that fit your body shape properly. If they are too big then you look bigger because you emphasize that you are hiding in your clothes while wearing something too tight is just not pretty for the most part unless you have it layered with some thing over the top. Try to avoid wearing one solid colour all the time from head to toe as it can make you look shorter, wider and so on. if you want to wear dark on the top and bottom then take a lighter colour and layer it in........like a shell under a button down shirt that you can wear open. with pants try for in jeans something that has a slight flair at the bottom like a bootcut because if you are heavier through the middle and broad shouldered it will balance you and not make you look huge on the top and teensy weensy on the bottom. I manage a womens retail clothing store and this is a problem i see quite a bit and being not so tiny myself been there done that. Down below i've provided a link to the store i work at and the size range is from a size 4-to 18 with some 2xl clothing as well. This type of clothing is not for everyone in terms of taste but it might give you some ideas

If you mean to insinuate that you're large and you need to know what things a large woman should wear then I suggest using a dressing room when you go shopping. If it doesn't flatter you, don't buy it.
Poplin, and stretchy fabrics can make wearing clothes easier if you have a certain feature that's somewhat out of proportion to the rest of your body (ie.: I have a large bust that would size me out of non-stretchy tops, but I can fit poplin and 3% spandex shirts).
Don't wear horizontal stripes, I don't know who they work for but they definitely look bad on large women. Don't wear all black, you'll look stupid. Darker colors look good on plus size women, but so do bold colors - use good judgement, and take into consideration your skin tone, eye color, and hair color; all these determine what colors would look best on you.

stuff that FITS!

On all those fashion shows on TLC (what not to wear, etc), they go on and on and on about wearing things that give you a waist. I always like the look at a blazer over a t shirt. Covers up problem areas and looks cool and put together.

Also, DARK jeans that are bootcut and have some stretch.

And I like to save bright colors for accesories - handbabgs, shoes, scarves, etc. Not for tops and pants.

Well, I think a little more information would be useful. For starters, how tall are you?? If you're 6 feet tall then 165 lbs. isn't all that much.

A women with that form of weight could be waiting to placed on what they decide to yet no longer revealing to plenty. i comprehend a 165lb lady she's tall so she wears denims which do no longer make her legs look tight yet they make her legs leaner. She additionally wears tank tops yet no longer a million's that make her look even fat.

I would go with what is stylish to you and what you think looks good on you. If you are a plus size gal, there are plenty of very stylish clothing stores out there with larger sizes. Don't be afraid to be proud of your body.

You should Wear lots of black. When eyes zoom in you light/white colors...it makes u look bigger. DO NOT wear tight clothes. A-lot of times an emipier waste can help.
