i'm looking at either upgrading my iPod 4g to the new iPod video or getting the new nano. i noticed that there is no power adaptor with these iPods so does anyone know if the plug / firewire combo that came with my iPod 4g work?
thanks

I am almost certain the older 4G power adapter will work - mainly due to the same accessories that used to work on the 4G iPod claiming they will work on the 5G iPod.
And also because they all use the dock connector, which is meant to be the standard accessory connector.

Yes, it does work. I use and since the new ipod doesnt come with a charger i kept an old charger and charge it with the firewire cable and the wall connector.

For transfering files it still works without any trouble and if you are transferring many many files it is still faster than usb.
