At the end of the week do you think that Joe Torre will still be the Yankees manager? And do you think that at the beginning of the next season A-Rod will still be wearing a Yankees uniform? I hope Joe Torre stays, but I don't really care about Alex...

I think A-Rod might have to stay unless he waives his no trade clause and possibly accepts a lower contract. He is still in that massive deal the Rangers signed him to some years ago. I am sure though that some Yankees will be let go via free agency and a revamped team will come on.

I hope Torre stays too. He has done very well with what he has and sometimes its the players he is given. I think perhaps Cashman the GM should go. He never did much, just messed up what Bob Watson, the previous GM, had done.

Joe is staying. Alex on the other hand might be gone. I'm not saying that it's a good move though. Yankee fans hate him because in his 3 years with the club he hasn't batted his best or played his greatest defense. But it's not like he's batted terribly or anything. They would be dumb to get rid of him but there is still a 50/50 chance.

This will be painful for George. He and Joe are closer than any manager he's had before. They go fishing together in the Abacos all the time.

It will be a mutual departing of the ways. Torre will have another job when he wants one.

I think Torre should tell Ol' George where he can go and I'm sure he can find a new employer pretty quick. A-Rod will stay
