Our firm is in downtown Seattle, and when it comes to computers, I am about as illiterate as it comes!

I would contact Nerds On Site. They are aninternational company and we use them for our business.

They have been around for about 12 years. Much better than Geek Squad who seem to be ending up in hot water all the time in court about taking info from compuiters etc. I think it is because Geek Squad uses students just like at the Best ?Buy Store while Nerds uses experienced older techs. who have made it their career

just my 2 cents

Being that I do free lance work off craigeslist.org I have to agree with that suggestion. I used to work for a couple of different consulting companies. You can hire me directly for about 1/3 of they charged for my time. I make more, you pay less because I have no overhead.

You also won't run into the turnover that way. The big companies will tell you how they give you a consistent service, but the last job I had I was the head engineer and they are now on the fourth one in a year. I was there 8 months and that should tell you how long the others lasted. True they kept notes, but there is nothing like having the same guy come every time, and that rarely happens.

Make sure you have Windows XP professional on all your computers. Then hire me to do your tech stuff remotely via Remote Desktop ;)
(Yes it can be done but obviously someone would have to be there to put CD's in drives etc)

On a more serious note, try the local college to see if they have any young computer students that are talented. Otherwise try and IT consultant which will cost more.

Of course if you did want to take me up on my offer I'm cheap ;)

Contract the IT support out to an IT consultant.. make sure you get a price from more than one source, I would go with three different consultants... if you cannot afford an IT on staff person.

What's the business?

What's the market where you live?

What's the competition?
