Time pretty much is the only thing which will remove that stain. That, and the skin cells dieing and falling off to be replaced by the underneath layer (not caused by the green walnut stain.)
That is some pretty permanent stuff.

Well Jim, you are stuck with that stain until it wears off, Should only take about 2 weeks.

Nearly impossible. It gets into the grooves in your fingerprints and is hard to scrub off. It will wear off in time. A bit of abrasive cleaner like Cif creme will help.

If I recall correctly I used nail polish remover when this happened to me.
