Here's Six to get you going...
1. Keep your memory active
2. Do simply exercises daily
3. Card games, simple maths etc. are good
4. Ask yourself questions based on what you've done today
5. Watch clips of films / TV and then get someone to ask you a question on it.
6. Put random items on a tray. memorise them for 60 seconds. then cover them with tea towel and write down as many as you can remember.

Ok I'll make this question my last for tonight.
First Tell yourself what it is for. Lets say you have an exam in Geography. Set yourself a deliberate goal post in the form of a Mantra, I am going to pass this exam.
Second ask yourself what grade you'd like - let us say that's a 'B' preferably an 'A' but you'd be happy with a B. A grade C maybe satisfactory but doesn't suit your needs.
Thirdly, you now know that to get a 'B' you must get between 75% and 90%. overall exam and coursework.
Fourthly, Lets say that you have gained 15% from the 20% in your course work.
Fifthly You now know that your exam counts for a gross of 80% from which you must achieve a mark somewhere between 60% and 75%.
Six, your short term memory has never been your strong point but you have one fortnight to revise in. Disregard unimportant information to one side from your notes. All of this you must do by day 2 of the fortnight. points 1 - 6.
Seven, use ones you have or get hold of some past exam papers and view likely questions you would want to answer well. Start to segregate your notes into topics. Start reading, reading and reading and as you read highlight things you ought to remember. Go to bed with your notes in selected topics. You have three days to do all this.
Eight, strart drawing up your essay plans, drafts. Placing into significant sections by topic those things you ought to remember.
Start drafting up your essays. This should be done over days 6,7 of your fortnight revision period.
Nine, when you feel happy that you can remember things be doubly sure and ask a friend to test you. Test yourself a few times and write your essays up again by topic. Over days 8, 9, and 10.Don't forget you may need to time them.
Ten, finally record your essays onto a tape and listen to them over and over again, from day 11 of the final week before the exam, in bed. Take your drafts to bed and as you listen to your own voice reading your essays repeat any salient points you ought to remember.
Here is the crunch the day before the exam select a quiet space at home or in your library. Have a tall glass of water, relax.
Place pen and paper in front of you and draw up your draft essay plans 1 by 1. Breathe easy relax. You can do it. Remember your Mantra. I am going to pass this exam.
Without any notes handy write up your essays, time them as if you were giving yourself an exam. Put them away go and have a long lunch break.
Return and read them through and ask yourself are my essays close to the plans I have drafted? Do my essays answer the questions? Could I have done any more.
Go home, have an early night. Listen to your tape once in bed and go to sleep.

If you follow this plan for almost every subject apart from the sciences, you should be alright and achieve the grade you want. Remember to achieve the best from yourself, your short term memory is only able to concentrate on factual details for twenty minutes at a time - so you should take reguar breaks to ease tension. You should also stay hydrated and drink plenty water.

There is a tv programme I saw about memory with RObert Winston. It said create a room in your mind and put in a table, chair etc and then if you are trying to remember something put it against an item in your room. It works because the brain remembers images easier.

The only one I can remember (seriously!) is that if you're given somebody's name five minutes into a conversation you remember it better than if you're introduced at the start. I write stuff down to remember it then lose the notes!

1. pat your head and rub your tummy
2.put your left hand on your elbow then your right hand on your ear then switch them quickly

why do no longer you think of of the names of the dance strikes and to remind you of them think of of something that reminds you of the dance and attempt training back and back or maybe you may write it down :)
