Most likely they are embarrassed. They tried to build him up as an intellectual Rhodes Scholar, but he kept reverting to his redneck roots.

I'm not ashamed of Bill Clinton. He did some great things for the US. Sure, he made some mistakes, don't we all?

I think that a large portion of the US and the rest of the world look back at the Monica Lewinsky scandal as something fairly insignificant compared to what is going on now.

I am not ashamed, nor should you be. He was an amazing president who did some pretty good things for this country. They way he conducts his sex life had absolutely nothing to do with the way he ran the country. Everyone called it the Monica Lewinsky Scandal...what was the scandal? He screwed an intern, oh snap! what a shame, everyone has done it...and he wasnt proud for what he did...but that didnt effect this country in any way...Bush on the other hand, has the intelligence of a potato...which he still probably doesnt know how to spell...anyways, dont be ashamed...there is no reason to be.

Where did you find a democrat who's ashamed of Bill Clinton? I have a hard enough time finding a Republican who can honestly say something bad about him.. He's been out of office for 6 yers and he's still a better President than his successor

We arent ashamed of Clinton, we are ashamed of Bush. You can talk all you want, but you still can't make him out to be a bad president, only a bad husband. Bush=Cokehead, IQ less than 90, alcoholic, liar...should I go on? All you can say about Clinton is he got a BJ...something Im sure you'd high-five Bush for if he did it...or whenever he gets caught.

I have no feelings for Clinton other than disappointment. Which is still an improvement over Bush.

The point is that the Con-jobs try to twist everything back to Clinton, pretending that their people haven't been running and ruining the show for six years.

These are the same people whe, if you tried to talk about Reagan or the elected Bush during the Clinton era, would say, "But he's not president anymore, is he?"

In other words:

just more Con-job hypocracy.

Most Democrats are extremely proud of having Bill Clinton represent their values and be the spokesperson for their platforms. His eloquence and charisma are unrivaled, and no Republican to date is able to match his resonance with the people.

The reason why most progressives shun conversations pertaining to Clinton is because most of them want to talk about the present and the future, not the past, hence why Democrats, and liberals in general are called PROGRESSIVES. They are looking for progress, constantly thinking ahead.

Its sad the Neocons and Republicans constantly like to harp about the past. Why not worry about the shortcomings of the current administration – and trust me there are plenty. Its useless griping about things you cannot change. Concentrate on what you can.

I don't know too many Democrats that are ashamed of Bill Clinton at all.

If you wouldn't talk about him derogatorily, you can talk about him all you want, but its unlikely you would since his administration was marked by many successes and he was the best President we've had since Eisenhower (a Republican, by the way). On the other hand, you have Bush the Ignorant and what is there to praise about that bozo? You need to find someone else to pick on and call names - how about your own hero - Mr. Foley? I know he's a highly respected Republican.

we're not. He is one of the smartest and one of the top presidents of all time. He did make a mistake but at least he admits it. History will judge him far better then Regan or Bush 1or 2.
