Every baby is different. Don't worry about those things either. My daughter rolled over around 5 months, held her head up around 6 or 8 weeks, and slept through the night around 7 weeks. It's been so long, I might have some of the times wrong. She's 21 months now. Good luck!

Hold his head up is variable, some start as newborns. Roll over is also variable, sleeping through the night is the most variable and depends on your chosen method of feeding. My son who nursed and was formula fed slept throgh the night at 4 or 5 months. My second who is exclusively nursed, is stil waking up through the night though not too many times and for only 2-3 minutes. My second is 13 and a half months and nursing has been great despite having to get up for him, 'cause i still don't have my period. With my second, I have also lost weight which has brought me to a lower weight than I was at when I got pregnant; I lost 7 extra kilograms without dieting or exercising.
With my first, I still had an extra 4 kilograms on me at his 5 year birthday.

BEAUTIFUL LITTLE ONE YOU HAVE IN THE PIC.
Each baby developes at their own pace, but the average is around 3 to 4 months, they hold their heads up, and around 5 months when they start to roll over.....mine slept through the night on our first night home from the hospital, so i'm not really sure.... his pediatrician gave me a piece of advice that worked for a couple of my friends, AFTER THE FIRST 4 WEEKS, NO FEEDS AFTER MIDNIGHT TILL 6 a.m. and if the baby wakes up in the middle of the night, give them some herbal tea or something like it. That should work after the first couple of days.
Good luck.

I have a 5 week old that lifts his head up, and can roll from side to side. As said above, every baby developes at his/her own pace. Good luck on the sleeping all night thing though!! MAy I suggest napping with baby during the day?

Your baby will start to roll over about 3 months, and they will start holding their head up as early as 2 months, but it will still be wobbly and need support. As far as sleeping through the night, good luck on that one. Some babies start sleeping at 6 weeks and some still don't sleep when they are 2 YEARS old. According to the American Academy of Peditricians, sleeping through the night is 5 consecutive hours, not our normal 10pm-7am. Good Luck & Congrats on your beautiful baby

All babies do develop at their own pace. If you want to know the average age for these activites there are many good books on the subject. If you are concerned about your baby's development, consult your Dr.
Don't worry if your baby is not following the pattern. It doesn't mean that your baby has a problem. Also, ask your mom and the father's mom for family history.

There is a great reference book by the American Academy of Pediatrics "Caring for Your Baby and Young Child - Birth to Age 5."
It goes month by month through all levels of development - I just picked up a copy fo myself - I'd already bought one for my daughter-in-law. I want to keep up with what my grandson is capable of doing!!

Well lets slow down here a sec.Babys do things on their own time.Don't rush it .Soon enough it will happen and you will find yourself longing for those first few weeks when all that sweet little baby did was eat and sleep. Enjoy each and every moment as they grow far to fast.
