I can't seem to get it working, it detects 1.80 GHz instead of 2.40 GHZ.

I use a Soyo Motherboard, with a Pentium 4 CPU 2.40 GHz.

What processor do you have?

You most likely need to update the BIOS.

Find your motherboard manual and find out how to get into the bios settings.

Once there, see if there's a manual override for the speed. It could very well be it's set explicitly to 1.8G rather than automatically detecting the speed.

Be very careful with your settings and read the manual before you change anything.

what motherboard and cpu is it and some of the motherboards need manual adjustments for it to be the correct speed.

hint: tiny switches together needs to be in an order

try to figuar out if the CPU will work fine with the motherboard type u have or not

Right click in the lower right coroner of your screen , down where the time is.. Now click on task manager and you should be able to change it from here
