The DC5 actually, "stole the limelight" from the Beatles, in early 1964, with Glad all Over.
Many will say that the reason GAO reached number #1(both UK and US-(some arguements on US position), was that everyone thought they were the Beatles. OH Well!!
They had 18 "charted records" in a little over 2 years!
They even hit #1 in the US with a "cover"(their only one) of "Over and Over"( the flip side of Bobby Day's "Rockin Robin" 1958)
