Um how can i send text messages to my friends from yahoo?

you can also send a text message from yahoo messenger, just click on send sms message and enter the phone number, when they reply to your text, it will pop up in the same screen, so its like you are instant messaging someone, you can see the whole conversation!

Go to the site http://mobile.yahoo.com/sms/sendsms
Then you just type in the telephone number, and the message. Easy!
