From the sounds of it neither are spayed and they are hitting the teenage years when their hormones start to act up. Humping with bunnies (even ones that are both spayed and neutered) is a dominance thing with the bunny doing the humping showing the other who is boss. This can lead to terrible fights where one bunny could actually kill the other one, so separation is in order.
Then, get an appointment with a rabbit savvy vet to get them spayed. After they have healed - at least 2 weeks - you can start the bonding process.

I have had rabbits all my life, this is very normal. I used to have two gay male rabbits - they would take turns being on top. By the way, there was also a female rabbit in the mix at this point, and both of the male rabbits left her alone. So yes, gay rabbits are very common. As far as what you "should do," there is nothing you can do. If you are very uncomfortable with this, or if they are actually hurting each other, then separate them. If you and they can handle it, it's fine.

You have left them together for too long. Rabbits should be separated and penned by themselves by the time they turn 70 days old. The female mounting another rabbit is just it's way of saying it wants bred. Rabbits go through hormonal cycles just like people do. They reach puberty about the time they hit 4 months old. I have been raising rabbits for over 24 years.

It's about dominance. And they will do it even if they are spayed. And although your rabbits aren't having homosexual relations, there are many species in the animal kingdom that do. It is a well documented and undisputed fact that the right wing would rather ignore, but if you're interested in knowing there is plenty of information about it out there. Just google and read.

You need to learn about rabbits. You should read the House Rabbit Handbook and go to these websites. What your rabbits are doing is a dominance thing.

This is not gay behavior...it's dominance behavior. Same sex rabbits show each other who is top rabbit or boss by mounting each other.
Get them spayed.
