Jimmy Johnson is a cry baby, plain and simple. Any time he crashes someone out, it was an accident, god forbid it happens to him and he's PO'd and is a lousy driver and all other sorts of whining and complaining. Junior knew that Vickers wasn't taking anyone out intentionally and said "that's racing." Gordon is another one of Hendrick's crybabies. He complains that Jr pushes him too hard, but wonders why nobody wants to help him out at super speedways. I doubt Vickers spun anyone out intentionally, especially since Ricky Hendrick meant more to him than Gordon and Johnson's friendship will ever mean. At the end of the day, Gordon, Johnson and Knaus need to shut their mouths, stop whining, complaining and carrying on, and try to win a championship before the decade is over.

I dont think he did it on purpose. I mean 190-200mph in a tight pack things like that WILL happen. The only thing is that this time it happened to nascars poster boy. Im a fan or jr but fair is fair and racin is racin. Vickers apologized and seemed sincere enough. Everybody says what goes around comes around, and this has happened to Vickers at least 2 times that i can think of. Fact is its racin and that finish was classic Tallegeda. Although i thought it was interesting that nobody commented on the fact that when Johnson went for the pass he drug *** goin around Jr. I know Jr tried to block him but thats a wide track and he should have went lower which i think Vickers was anticipating and the whole thing wouldnt have happened. But that didnt happen and jr got hit so that is that and everyone will say Vickers should hang which sucks that a decent driver got his first win and now its tainted forever. That leaves one to ponder which side of the fence to get on. Around where i live Jr. is GOD and the other 42 cars on the track shouldnt even enter in the race. I think its great though that The Man got put in check. Gotta have checks and balances, its what makes you watch!

Brian is just a dirty little driver like all of the Hendrick drivers are! Yes, that was VERY desperate. Wreck his own teammate for a win? Wow! I wonder how Rick Hendrick liked that one. And it sounded like Vickers was trying to put the blame on Jr.! Stupid jerk Vickers........

Vickers said he didn't mean to, but, I don't feel like that last "bump" was necessary, that's what thru Johnson into Jr. Yes, Jr has done it before, but that still doesn't make it right. Jr & Johnson could have managed on their own without the help from Vickers.

it was a big lapse in judgement for whatever reason by Brian Vickers. BUT I cannot help but wonder if Dale Jr. had been third and the same thing happened i do not think anyone would have cared.

Jimmy Johnson and Dale Jr. should have taken him behind the garage and kicked the living crap out of him.
But......that is what NASCAR is about. Brian Vickers is a desperate man. I am sure he will consider it a proud moment in his life, no matter how tainted a win it was. Did you hear all of the booing while he was in Victory Lane?

Not a fan of his but I didn't believe he did it intentionally. Now that all is said and done I think the guy is desperate. He never took the blame even tried to shift it to Jr. he should have at least behaved like a man and apologized for blowing it for his teammate and Dale Jr. But obviously he is not a man, just an out of control child.
They will pay him back and I hope they wait till he is running for a win then just send his car spinning. I will stand up and cheer!

i totally agree with UNITED919... vickers was out there racing for himself and didnt anyone hear him apoligize...he miscalculated..it happens all the time in motor sports...did anyone hear dale jr's interview...he wasnt mad...but the whine#@*% that johnson is he just couldnt be happy for someone who been a teammate for 4 years and who by the way helped him toward the front so johnson could win the daytona 500. vickers doesnt owe anything to johnson or gordon...he specifically said that he won for ricky hendrick. its just too bad that johnson has to be a such a
self-centered pain in the rear
ya know....ITS ABOUT TIME THAT JOHNSON WRECKED

Rick Hendrick needs to fire Vickers. He doesn't belong to the team now anyway, and what he did was just wrong. I like the quote I read from Chad Knauss. "Vickers ran out of talent during the pass." I don't care how much you want to win your first cup race, you don't wreck two chasers to do it.
