It's that time of year again. They arrived at my house yesterday. Anyone have any ideas that have worked to get rid of those pesky little lady bugs.

The permanent solution is to get three tubes of caulk and a caulk gun and fill every crack or hole you can find on you home, especially the west and south sides. It's a lot of work but it keeps them from getting in between the outer and inner wall of your house. Once they are in there they are protected from poison or the elements and if there is a hole in the inner wall, well, then they are in your house. Once inside the best thing to do is vacuum them.

You can spray the siding of your house with malathion or sevin and that will kill them when they start swarming on the house but you have to do that every year. And who really wants to live in a home coated with pesticides.

If they are lady bugs, they are harmless and eat harmful insects. Sweep them out. Put double sided masking tape at your doorways on the floor.
