Yes, I believe in love at first sight. Sometimes when you meet someone, you just feel that there is something there. Yes, love takes time to grow, but what you learn to love in a person is there right from the start.

June the 10th 1990 at the Rennissance Festival just outside Murfreesboro TN near a town called Triune in a grove where the games were setup i saw a girl i will call "M". She was wearing a white peasant blouse with black vest and a camel colored skirt. She saw me at the mud pit with a friend of mine and said the world stopped i hadn't seen her yet.
She called me over to her stand and as i turned around i saw an image that would make Aphrodite just crap with jealousy. She had long wavy strawberry blonde hair a few freckles and bluish/grey eyes. Her skin was fair and her lips like pink rose petals. She was quite thin and willowy.
I struck up a conversation and must have babbled about like a drunken monkey for she was the most elegant thing that could ever be concieved of. Like a voice from the past calling me home.
We found ourselves under the shade of Castle Gwynn (a castle built by a photographer on the property) and kissed nonstop for 20 minutes and i truly understood at that moment just how badly someone could need something.
We were together for 2 1/2 years until her passion turned to jealousy then suspiscion then misery. To this day i am so grateful i met her for the memories of that day and all the times thereafter of her laughter, going to her graduation, her prom, the look in her eyes when i looked at her, the slenderness of her nude form, the way we couldn't keep our hands off each other, the hours of just talking, the poems and letters and books we shared. The last time i saw her was when i spoke to a friend she told me how much she changed after we seperated. She started sleeping around a lot and started doing drugs and got into some abusive relationships and wound up getting disowned by her family.
Don't know where she is now.
All that from one look.
I've often times found myself out clubbing and i've seen a girl give me a look that was a bit similar but not as intense so for that moment 15 years ago i believe it was love at first sight but the hundreds of times thereafter it was just lust. I can still remember the way she looked when her eyes met mine. Call it reincarnated lovers, call it soulmates, call it what you will but i have never had a sensation that intense when looking into the eyes of another.

No I don't believe in love at first sight because it usually is just lust and given time to get to know each other you'll be able to tell the difference down the line.

I totally understand you. I also said that I never believed in love at first sight. Recently I met this man and I guess it is hard to say, but it kind of feels like love at first sight. I don't know for sure because it didn't happen to me before. I know that it didn't happen with my ex-husband.

Nope, I believe in lust and I believe in chemistry between two people, but love takes time to develop. You've really got to know someone, the good and the bad, in order to be able to say that you love them, because afterall along with love comes acceptance and respect, and we all know that respect must be earned. Developing a good healthy love takes time, but it is sooooo worth the wait.

Absolutely I believe in love at first sight. I have been luck enough to have that experience. It is amazing!
Certainty, love grows in time. You can grow out of love in time as well.
But there is such a thing as love at first sight!!

i agree with you.. love takes time ! a lot of people assume that they are in love from the first sight but that's just an attraction to them not real love...
so you are right..... real love takes time!!!
