This is something i myself have often wondered in the past, except its not whether someone has told me not to push a button, more like would i push a button (or take some other action) just because I COULD !!!
My theory is that 99% people WILL push that button just because they can - the other 1% are the really special people of this world.

Depends what the shiny button does, where it's placed and the surroundings. If it was in a hospital or on a spaceship or something, then I wouldn't out of fear what it might do.
If it had been a button at school, I'd push it. It depends.

That depends on what the shiny button does, and who you are in relation to me. I'm not one to push it just because you told me not to, however, I'm also not one to not do something I want to do because "somebody" says I shouldn't.
Who benefits from the shiny button being pushed/or who suffers from it?

Today I would push that shiny button over and over again. I am so mad w/yahoo answers right now if I thought that it was connected to one of the chair bottoms at yahoo I would hold it down for as long as I could. lol.

NO WAY would I touch it.Don't you watch Punked and The hidden cameras shows?Soon as I did 8 bazillion people would pop out goin "GOTCHA" and give me a freakin heart attack.I'm to old for this sh*t.
