Please write in proper notation:
(3x-1)/8 + (5-6x)/(4+3)/2 OR
3x - 1/8 + 5 - 6x/4 + 3/2 OR
(3x-1)/8 + (5-6x)/4 + 3/2
OR WHAT??!!

you have to do the opposite of what the x is with like 3x if you want to get the 3x by it's self you have to devide by 3. and since it's a division you have to do it to the bottom as well i think. wait it doesn't make sense why are they all over each other??? so it's devided 3 times??

I can't exactly tell by your wording how this is set up...but try multiply by the least common denominator...if it's one of those multiple layer fractions(more than one division) start at the bottom and multply by reciprocals all the way up.
