Confusing yes. Looks like you got no where. As far as I know conkers are chestnuts. Squirrels eat them. I think that is where the person was going with the squirrel thing. I cant say if there are different kinds that are toxic, I don't know. I live on the west coast and the ones I have in my yard are picked clean by squirrels before they are ripe. The few I find late in the season I do eat. so they would be good for hamsters gerbils and any rodent. Contact your Dept. of agriculture or forestry division to make sure the are OK. and happy picking

I think they meant lassoo it like a conker, (string around). Don't know about the squirrel, maybe they thought they were similar animals?

Yes, certainly odd answers but the real answer is no, you can't feed any animal with toxic conkers. That's why they fall to the ground and rot.

I don't know the answer to your question, but checked out the answers on your 1st question, and I think you and I are living in the same world! Why can't people just answer the question, without being smart-alecky???!!!

I'm not certain about toxins in conkers, tho I think they're okay. However, in answer to your question of was it me or them? -- it was them - don't worry about it.
