Unfortunately babies at this age need to have night feedings so they wake up during the middle of the night. Until the baby is about 3 months old you can introduce a little baby cereal at night before bed and then she/he will sleep a little longer because the tummy will be fuller longer. The older the baby gets the longer period of time she/ he will go between feedings. I know its rough but until your child is about 6-8 months old you will not get a full nights sleep. This is normal .... Good luck !!!

What I did was put her on a regular schedule of eating and sleeping. My baby is 2 months now and will sleep from 8 pm to 4 am; 4:30am; or 5 am. Now if she goes to sleep at 9 then she wakes up at 6. But it took me several weeks to get her into this pattern. I started when she was 3 weeks old and she has been doing this sleep pattern for 6 weeks. But some babies just need more to eat. My mom told me that when I was little I wanted to eat every 30 mins. No matter what she tried. Don't give up hope though.

What do you expect from a 2 month old baby? Their stomachs are tiny, most don't sleep through the night. It's one of those things that comes with having a baby. Sure you can give them cereal and rice in their bottle, but then you may be jeopordizing their health for the future when they start eating solids, not to mention the havec it could wreck now. Babies don't generally sleep "through the night" (which is regarded as 5 hours for a baby) until they are about 12lbs. or around 3 to 4 months old.

Unfortunately you can't make a two month old baby sleep through the night. Sometimes babies wake up because they're hungry, sometimes they're wet and sometimes they're just in a habit of waking up and there's nothing "wrong". Try to put your wee one on a good schedule during the day. Sleep, then wake/change/feed time, then some awake time and then sleep. In other words, it's better not to feed them to sleep, but allow babies time to get in the habit of falling asleep without the feeding. Most of us tend to do it the other way. The babies wake up, we change them, they're awake for awhile and then we feed them to sleep.

Changing this pattern can sometimes help with their sleeping at night.

But 2 months is young to sleep through the night unless you're willing to do something more drastic like letting her cry (never my choice, but some parents do it and it does work) for a few nights. If you choose that route, and you feel you need to check on her, just put your head in the door and say something like "mommy's here and you're ok". Also, having your baby in bed with you (as tempting as it is) isn't a good way to start working towards a schedule. I did it with 3 of my 6 children and loved having them so cuddled up and close to me, but it took longer for them to settle the nights in their own beds.

Wishing you the best. As a mom of 6 kids (now 10 years - 22yrs) I've had years of broken sleep, but it's all really really worth it!!!

Try increasing her last feeding to 5 oz's and when she wakes up try to get her to go back to sleep without feeding her, even if it's only for 15 minutes. When you keep doing this she will begin to sleep longer and longer...but at 2 months it is rare, though it does happen, for a baby to sleep through the night.

This may sound very funny but it really truely works my son use to get up 5 times a night and now sense he was 2 months he sleep thought the night. For 3 days you will saddle the baby and flip them over . you do this once a day at the same time for 3 days.

Nothing but adjust your definition of sleeping through the night. At that age they wake up because they are hungry.Their little tummy's simply can not hold enough for them to sleep as long as us sleep deprived mommy and daddy's would like. Be patient time will take care of things .She will grow and her tummy will grow so she will be able to go longer periods at night. If this is your first baby, and you are staying at home with her. There is a simple trick , Drop every thing and sleep when she does. If you can't do this learn to love coffee.Lol

Honestly... the ONLY thing you can do is before you lay her down at night, make sure she is fed (adding rice cereal helps too) and changed, and you HAVE to let her cry. SHe will wake up 2,3,4 times, and you have to let her cry through it. Even if she sounds like she is gagging, she isnt. She will get really upset, especially if she is used to you picking her up all the time, but she WILL stop crying. Before doing this make sure she is in a longsleeve/pant sleeper, because she is sure to kick all of her covers off. This will only take about a night or two. But it WORKS!

The way you get your young ones to sleep all night is to keep them up all day if you can...because if you don't your not going to get any sleep. You can also keep him or her in bed with you so it want be such a long walk for you to the baby bed and back ..if you have a sufficient other take turns

Hi, I just wanted to show you the Amby Bed

We used it for our baby and she has been sleeping through the night since 6 weeks! Of course, we would wake her up and feed her, but, she loved it!
