If you want something kind of unusual, go as Miss Scarlet from Clue. Just wear a fancy red dress, big fake diamond earrings, and put a TON of hairspray in your hair. Someone suggested Kim Possible, which is a good idea. I actually did that one year (After streaking my hair with food coloring). It's a really easy costume. Just wear a black shirt and green pants and you're basically set. If you want to get a little more detailed, you can make a "Kimmunicator" out of an old check box or something about that size by wrapping it in blue paper, drawing some buttons, and adding a small picture of Wade. I did, and it worked out extremely well. You could also go as Fern from Charlotte's Web. Just wear a plaid shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a pair of jeans with the cuffs rolled up, and tie your hair in a ponytail or pigtails or braid(s).
You could also go as someone where the hair color doesn't really matter. I've got long dark blonde hair, and I was Violet Beauregard last year (Don't ask.)
Wigs are another good option. I was Jeannie from I Dream Of Jeannie one time, and I wore a long blonde wig.
You could also put a rinse in your hair if you want to look more like someone with a different hair color. I've heard food coloring works well for colors like green, too. (I hope so, because my Oompa Loompa costume won't look quite right if I have blonde hair... Lol.)
You don't have to stick to a "girl's" costume, either. I actually considered going as The Phantomess of the Opera, or Wilma Wonka.
I think all the other costume ideas are great too, and I love the idea of the Wendy's girl.

Red hair can look good with back so you might make a good witch or vampire. You could choose something a bit flirty because you are a teenager after all. Check local shops for some ideas. Aslso try amazon.com and ebay for some good ideas or maybe you could find something there. You could also save pictures of the costumes you like so that you can look back at them and think about which you like best and what you're looking for in a costume.
Good luck finding the perfect Halloween costume!

Dice or in singular form a die; peraps you can dress up with her and be a pair of dice. This is a cheap make at home costume. take a very large box turn the open end down cut a single hole in the opposite side. when you slip your head into the single hole. your head should be the one we bought a cheap back top hat in the costume section. your legs coming out of the bottom make the two. black stockings and black shoes suffice. you can even dress warmly underneath and know one will know although I suggest black. Now with one and two made you need three and five on the sides where your arms come out. Use black construction paper to make the rest of the dots you will need. Your arms will play the middle of the threeand the middle of the five; the dots filled in approiately. Oops wrap box in white wax paper first! Now all you have left is the four and six which fall on the front & back of the box and walla you have a pair of dice. We won lots of costume contests with this getup, mostly for origanality. good luck! what a way for mother daughter bonding and makes for great remember whens in a few years. Have Fun!!

Just because you have red hair doesn't mean you have a limited option for a Halloween costume. You can always buy a wig or be someone with red hair like Airal from the little mermaid.
