Aristotle opens his Book of Metaphysics by saying: "All men (i.e. human beings) by nature desire understanding." And I humbly agree with him, so at least as far as the two of us are concerned the innate desire for understanding is at the very core of all human quests and inquiries. ... Hence it also follows that the essence of an answer, is the desire to contribute to the continuity of the dynamic quest for understanding - a genuine exchange / sharing of understandings, if you will. A desire to make things understood using a dialectic approach. An inherent need to preserve, augment and disseminate knowledge through research, social interaction, inclusion, and participation; even if the answers appear to be erroneous, goofy and/or malicious when held against the manifold frames of intellectual and spiritual reference.

The essence of an answer is the perspective from which the answer comes. Even for a question of fact the reasoning and answers can be different.
The core of a question is the desire that is seeks to fill. It is the knowledge do you not possess that you wish to find.

to try and understand and gain more knowledge into the world of absolute truth and the answer would be to try and rationalise it so that it meets yours quest for the truth.
