Most things about Leeds are good. The accent, the bars/clubs, the shopping, the student scene, the friendliness of the people, the public transport, the theatres, the parks, the cricket ground, the hotels, the cheesy Christmas lights.
The bad things mainly involve price of parking, the traffic/loop road and that we aren't allowed a tram. Also that residents of a certain area whinge a lot when the council manage to blag one of the biggest concerts Leeds has ever seen (Roundhay Association this means you - are you a bit dim in not realising the economic potential of 180,000 visitors to Leeds?).
Colleague has just pointed out that there aren't enough pretty, straight, single boys here also.
So yes - there's loads of good stuff in Leeds.

Leeds is one of my favorite cities in England. The nightlife is great. Loads of bars/clubs and within walking distances.

Perhaps I should ask you if there is anything bad. Brilliant footy team despite their league position. Great town centre with plenty of shops. Great people with a brilliant sense of humour. The list goes on. PS. What's the weather like in Manchester now? Raining still is it?

Verdi's moving and disturbing opera
'Repellent, immoral, obscene’ – these were some of the words used about Verdi’s hard-hitting melodrama when it was new in 1851. Director/Designer Charles Edwards sets the opera in Italy today to ensure that it’s just as moving and disturbing now as Verdi intended it to be then.
