We couldn't find a value for a 1980 CM400A when it had to be looked up a few years ago. It doesn't seem to be in any of the books. When the nearest replacement parts cost got to be over $900.00 the insurance company (hers) called my bike totaled. So I got $900.00 and salvage rights. I wasn't happy with the settlement but they were fast. She had Progressive, FYI.

generally, in the world of buying and selling motorcycles, a decent lloking bike 20 yrs or older is worth $1 per cc minimum. Thus, your bike could be considered worth 400-600 bucks, depending on the condition.
