R&G on Kearny, it's Zagat rated. Order the fried crabs and this dish that's fried salted fish mixed with pork. Price is definitely reasonable.
For dimsum I like Yank Sink, but price is a wee bit high I thought.

keep in mind, I use straight Chinese translations.
1. Koi Palace at Sacramonte exit on 280 for Cantonese, get there before 11 to 11:30 everyday.
2. Spicy girl or Spicy sister on 6th and Clement, Taiwan Sichuan style
3. Old Beijing on Judah or Noreiga and 48th to 45th( this is the closest I can get). but their Beijing style lamb fondue, plus the little sauce on the side are the best around SF. worth the drive from San Jose, or Sacramento...

I like the lunch specials at Yank Sing and the Chow Fun noodles at Long Life Noodle Co. In Alameda, there is Fortune Cookie on Webster St. They have some really good affordable food.

stay away from Union sq. on Friday. it truly is pedestrian gridlock! additionally, pass Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, in basic terms vacationer traps. stumble on Golden Gate Park plenty to try this it could take one entire day. pass to Coit Tower for great perspectives of the city. walk down the Filbert highway steps to the Embarcadero. spectacular perspectives, and many good paying for and foodstuff on the Ferry construction and Embarcadero midsection without the crowds of Union sq.. Wander around Chinatown and Northbeach. a good number of great foodstuff and shops, it is how people stay in SF. Take a bay cruise or pass to Alcatraz, unique perspectives of the city and the bridges from the bay. and of direction, experience a cable automobile! take exhilaration in!

My favorite one is Koi Palace in Daly City. I think this one is the best Chinese restaurant in Bay Area. You should try it.

I don't like PF Changs. Yank Sing in SF and Mings Palo Alto are very good and reasonable. They probably have menus online, and you might check opentable.com for more information.
