the background of this question is - i recently found out that when i was split up from my boyf lsat year he slept with soemone who practically broke us up in the first place. we're back together now but i can't get my head around it. the girl he was seeing works at his place. i met her on one ocassion and she was a nasty person but enviably pretty. she was everything i wasn't - slim blonde and gorgeous.
I know she'll be at the xmas party and i don't know if i should go or not. Mainly coz i think i'd end up having a huge fight with her. but also because if i don't go i'll only worry about what my boyfs doing all night whilst i'm sat at home.
i DO trust him (i can't say too much about it really as we were seperated at the time) but i can't handle the mental torture that i'm going through. it wouldn't be so bad if she was similar to me!
he said he doesn't go for that type of girl, so why did he go there when he'd left me ?
I'm confused should i go or not ? please help

Definitely go, so she'll know the better woman won the man! Your job is to support your man, go and have fun, don't worry about her..she's history. Find yourself a nice dress, get your hair done nicely and go and enjoy the company of your man, forget that she's even there!

Maybe at the time you two were split up he was doing the rebound thing and when that happens we don't always pick our type we sometimes go for the first type that comes along just to ease the pain. So maybe shes not his type maybe she was just there. And yes go to the party...don't let her stop you, besides your with him now so stick by his side .

Don‘t go if she is there. If you want a rotten party, then go.
It will be impossible for him not to take care of her, otherwise
others will jump into the bandwagon. Someone else will have
a party going and will invite you. And stop thinking about him
all the time, that is what he expects - for you to come begging.

I think you are afraid of your own insecurities and are nor ready to be in this relationship
Give yourself time to grow up a bit before you continue with this attitude. If you carry on like this you will not need anyone else to break up your relationships, you will be able to do it all on your own. Then you can say it was all you own work.

Talk to him about it, and tell him your concerns. There's nothing to be ashamed about, you are being honest with us, and you should be with him. If you decide not to go, don't make up a feeble excuse for not going. But you should go, and do your damnedness to be polite to her, whilst avoiding her, and make him proud to have you, regardless of how uncomfortable her presence may make you feel.

You should go, but try to stay away from this other woman, and try to stay around your bf as much as possible. If you dont go then he will be offended and just to spite you might go with this other woman..

I would and would wear my cutest outfit and look stunning this way you wouldnt have to worry about him looking at her all eyes will be on you and dont worry about her as long as he isnt doing anything now you have him she doesnt
