this isn't a question to amuse myself it's a question to challenge my "only-american" way of thinking. i want some new perspective.
the ideas can be economic, society's perspective, science, sports, travel, technological advances, political... anything. i'm looking for some ***IDEAS!
personally i thought about China and North Korea's influence on international economy and UN policy... i also thought about problems in the middle east - lebannon and syria and the war on israel and how it'll affect gas prices

California will be overrun and conquered by illegal immigrants from Mexico. It will be renamed and become just like Mexico shortly thereafter. Hollywood and its businesses will move to NYC or Maine. California will breakoff and become bankrupt due to giving out welfare and free healthcare and childcare. The population will exceed 5 billion due to the extremely high fertility rates. The president will say "Hey you wanted your land back and now you got it". The president will then say that we are not responsible for another countries poor people and align all of our borders with electrical fences to prevent what happened in the early 2000's. We may have lost California but we have not lost our good ole American way. Our language and our beautiful melting pot :) Oh and our president will be a multiracial republican woman.hahahaha

Useable Water In The Near Future.
A one liter bottle of clean drinking water will be as expensive as a gallon of gasoline is now.
Access to water will be no longer be through a county's public works agency . Water access will be through corporate entities that own the rights to the water source, the systems of delivery and can monopolize the rates just like the oil companies.
