I'd like to open up my own online store selling handmade notecards, stationery, etc.
What steps do I need to take to make this a reality?

There are tons of way, some people do the ebay thing, others are more into affiliate marketing or direct selling of other companies services. The first thing you need to do is set up a website. I recommend that you get a domain registered in your name . Example: one of my sites is petestokien.com, then I have my major site that can give you tons of tips see the source listing on this answer for more info. Good Luck!

Hi Margaret, I just joined a site that could probably give you all the answers you need to your question. It is Ryze and the address is http://www.ryze.com It is an online network group and is free to join. There are alot of women on there that have their own websites just like you are trying to make. Good luck to you.

I am in the business of starting people with their own private franchises and probably the easiest means of e-retailing. Please contact me at bcook@thewavecraze.com if you'd like some more information. Thanks! - Brian
