A friend of mine had something like that and the doctor told her they were silent migranes. She takes medicine for it and it hasn't happened since.

I would talk to your doctor. This does not sound like it should be happening. Have you heard of tocopsy? This is a condition that flashing lights appear in the before a migraine or early phase of a migraine headache. It is a symptom of a migraine, but it is not exactly a part of the migraine.

I was having spots flashing in my eyes and the doctor told me it was a normal occurrence. He said that our eyes sometimes shed cells causing this to happen. However, i did not have any feelings of being dizzy along with this. If it is worrying you, you should go and see your doctor. Good luck and God Bless

I have like lightening almost. Mine is from eye strain caused from reading or when you have to look at something for too long. Is your blood pressure normal? Sometimes it can be from that.
I just close my eyes for a few minutes and rest them and I'm usually OK. Good luck.

hiyah. i don't know if this will be of any help to you, i hope it is. i had exactly the same symptoms as you are experiencing when i had high blood pressure so my advice would be for you to go the doctors and get your blood pressure tested. I ended up needing some medication.
