I sometimes think that the laws regarding punishment for crimes has become so hidebound in bureaucratize that it is the victim that actually suffers more for the crimes, and not the criminal.

I think the whole system needs to be drastically overhauled.

Certainly the U.S. legal system has become complex over the years. But I'm not clear that it could be characterized as a system of cruel punishment.

the law has become what it is today because of liberals concern over the rights of criminals,and concern over their treatment,but yet do not concern themselves over the rights of the victims or their family's,in my book the treatment of criminals should be harsh,and degrading,because crimes of the criminal never took the rights of the victim in to consideration,why should i,or we be concerned for their rights,they made their bed now let them lie in it!
